We're in the thick of our second week of home schooling and things are going great! So far we are enjoying our curriculum choices...here are a few of our favorites and a glimpse into a few of the subjects we're covering this year:
Apologia Science - Lizzy is using the Botany course and we're enjoying learning about plants. Dan is using Zoology 1; all about birds and insects! Tim is using Biology, and we did our first microscope experiment yesterday, viewing cheek cells! And lastly, Nathan is using Apologia Physics. That's above my expertise, so he can teach ME about it. :)
Bob Jones History - we're using Bob Jones history across the board this year. My favorite of the kids' books is Tim's 9th grade Geography. I'm learning right along with him all of the different types of maps and their names. Pretty fun!
Teaching Textbooks Math - this year we're trying a new math program, both for Nathan and for Dan. Dan is using the computer mostly for his math, and so far it's been a great thing for him. He actually said the other day, that he LIKES math!
So, there you have just a few of our subjects...I'll share a few more next time. :) Since this pretty much consumes my life during most of the year, it's foremost on my mind right now. And, speaking of school work...I probably have more than needs to be corrected. Ta ta for now!

Sounds like fun! I remember loving learning about plants. I liked History best, but Biology was probably 2nd in line.
I'm glad its going well!
Hooray for fun learning! :D That's another great thing about being a teacher... you get to learn right along with them!! So, if you need any more writing avenues...call me up! I'd love to share. I love to teach it! :) And I've started a great collection of materials already. Hugs!
